This Richmond in-home family session was photographed using the beautiful natural light that poured through their home. As a Vancouver family photographer, I always aim to create images that feel honest rather than overly posed, so instead of directing every moment, I encouraged this family to simply be together. From cuddles on the couch to little hands reaching for Mom and Dad, every interaction unfolded naturally. It’s one of the reasons I love in-home family sessions, they preserve not just what your family looked like, but what everyday life felt like in this season.

For this home, it was filled with beautiful natural window light, creating soft, flattering images without the need for studio lighting.

This family welcomed me into their home in Richmond, BC, one of my favourite places to photograph families throughout Metro Vancouver. I love stopping by Steveston and Garry Point after in-home sessions in this area.
