Secure Online Galleries for Daycare Photos

When it comes to children, nothing matters more than safety.

That includes their images.

As a parent, it’s completely natural to wonder:

  • Where are the photos stored?
  • Who has access to them?
  • How are galleries shared?
  • Are my child’s images protected?

I want to share exactly how safety and privacy are handled when I photograph your child.

Private, Secure Online Galleries

Each family receives a private gallery link with their own unique password.

That gallery:

  • Is not publicly searchable
  • Is not indexed by Google
  • Is password-protected
  • Is only accessible to the individual family

Photos are never posted publicly without explicit permission.

Parent Permission Always Comes First

Before sharing any images:

  • I receive written or verbal consent from parents
  • Families can opt out entirely
  • Families can choose whether faces are shown

If a parent prefers their child’s images not appear online, that boundary is respected fully. No questions asked.

Professional, Secure Image Storage

All images are:

  • Stored securely on encrypted hard drives
  • Backed up to secure, password-protected systems
  • Not shared with third parties

Your child’s photos are treated as private family memories. Not marketing material.

No Public Proofing Systems

Some large-scale school photography systems rely on broad access portals. I operate differently.

Each gallery is individualized and delivered directly to families. There are no public preview walls, no shared browsing, and no searchable student databases.

Privacy is built into the process from the start.

Safe, Professional On-Site Practices

During daycare photo days:

  • I work directly with centre staff
  • Children are never left alone
  • Photos are taken in open, supervised areas
  • Staff remain nearby at all times

The environment is calm, familiar, and fully within the daycare’s normal safety protocols.

Why Smaller, Boutique Photography Matters

I work directly with each centre and each family. There is no outsourcing, no third-party editing teams, and no automated systems distributing images.

It’s personal. Intentional. Accountable.

You know who is photographing your child and who is handling the images afterward.

Transparency Builds Trust

If you ever have questions about:

  • Storage
  • Gallery access
  • Sharing permissions
  • Data handling

You can email me directly. I am happy to walk you through every step of the process.

Safety and privacy aren’t afterthoughts. They’re foundational.

For Daycare & Preschool Directors: How Image Privacy Is Managed

As a daycare or preschool director, you carry an enormous responsibility. Not just for the children in your care, but for the trust families place in your centre.

When it comes to photography, privacy matters just as much as quality.

Here’s how image safety is handled from a centre perspective.

Clear Parent Consent Process

Before photo day:

  • Centres receive clear information outlining how images are delivered
  • Parents are informed that galleries are private and secure
  • Parents have the option to opt out entirely

No child is photographed without centre awareness and established consent processes.

Controlled Image Sharing

Directors often ask:

“What happens to these photos after delivery?”

The answer is simple:

  • Images are not sold to third parties
  • Images are not uploaded to stock libraries
  • Images are not used for advertising without written consent
  • They are archived for up to one year after which they are permanently deleted

Any promotional use requires explicit parental approval.

On-Site Safety Practices

During photo day:

  • Children remain supervised at all times
  • Sessions take place in open, visible areas
  • Staff are present and aware of the process
  • No one-on-one closed-door situations

The photography process aligns with the centre’s existing child protection policies.

Why This Matters for Your Centre

When families feel confident in how their child’s images are handled:

  • They are more likely to participate
  • They are less likely to raise concerns
  • They feel reassured about your vendor choices

Privacy isn’t just a feature, it protects your centre’s reputation.

Your families trust you to make thoughtful decisions. If you’re looking for a photographer who treats privacy and safety with the same care you do, reach out through the form below. I’d love to work with your centre.
