What an In-Home Newborn Photography Session Really Looks Like
Newborn sessions with me are slow, gentle, and centred on real life, not props or poses. They’re about documenting what this season actually feels like, right where it’s happening: in your home.
This session included a newborn baby girl, a toddler sibling, and mom and dad, and it’s a perfect example of the kind of images you can expect from an in-home newborn session with me.

We worked around the baby’s needs, taking breaks when needed and letting the rhythm of the morning lead. There’s no rush and no pressure to perform. Including the Whole Family in Your Newborn Sessions
Toddlers are always welcome (and encouraged) to be themselves. Whether that looks like climbing onto the bed, laughing a little too loud, or gently touching their new sibling, those interactions are a big part of your story. I don’t aim for “perfect behaviour,” just connection. During this session I ended up playing hide and seek with the toddler. Can you see where I found her?
Natural, Documentary-Style Newborn Photography
You’ll see a mix of wide scenes and quiet details:
- everyone together on the bed
- mom and dad holding their baby
- tiny hands and curled feet
- sibling curiosity
- moments that happen in between, without direction
